Dr. James O. Walker, Ph.D. is the Director at the American Board of Sexology and is also a Board Member and head of Public Relations. Dr. Walker also hold a Ph.D. in Sexology from American Academy of Clinical Sexology.

Dr. Walker was married to the late Dr. William Granzig, Professor and Dean of Clinical Sexology at Maimonides University, President of the American Academy of Sexology, President of the American Association os Sexuality Educators and Therapists (AASECT), Founding president of the American Board of Sexology, and Sixth World Congress of Sexology.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always understood the importance of having a safe haven. To have a place you can question and explore within, a person you can talk things out with and feel accepted by. I’ve always felt an overwhelming longing to create that safe space for everyone I come into contact with. My passion to help others came so naturally that I’d find myself in constant conversations involving sexuality on a near daily basis. Within these conversations I would always end up being that “safe space” that I wanted to be without even trying. I’ve literally even told people how I wanted to be that for them and others. Nothing felt as wonderful as helping others with their sexuality and then I realized I could do this for a living.

I was testing sex toys for different companies when I came across one that I just HAD to tell other women about. Within the first few days of receiving and falling in love with the toy I’d encouraged seven other women to buy it. In that instance I thought “hey, maybe I should sell sex toys”, it was a bit of a joke but it stuck with me. I looked into a few things and came to the conclusion that I could do so much more than just sell sex toys. I could truly help people understand and embrace their sexuality. I could help them on their journey of self discovery. I could help fight against stigmas and misinformation that cause shame and frustration within us all. I could help give voice to peoples needs, desires and even their boundaries. I could do all of that and so much more as a sexuality coach.

Sexuality coaching is undoubtedly my calling. It’s something I was doing without even knowing it. As a sexuality coach I can faithfully dedicate my time and efforts into giving people the right information and support they need. I have made it my purpose in life to serve and heal others.
